Bra Review: Ewa Michalak CHP Lawenda, 65F

Oh, my, goodness.  This bra is b-e-a-utiful and I’m so happy I stumbled across it secondhand, in pristine condition.  I’m in love with it for many reasons, but I just have to point out that it’s purple!!  If you’ve read my blog at all, you’ll know I’m a big sucker for purple.  This is the 3rd purple bra I’ve reviewed.  I no longer own the other two because I’ve gotten exceedingly picky about fit, so of course I had to remedy that.  Along came the Lawenda.  Enough chatter, let’s get to her.

Just, wow!  First of all, I’m going to point out if you notice anything funky with my ribcage, I have a new tattoo I’m editing out of my pictures for privacy/identifying information reasons.  I apologize if I don’t do a perfect job and it’s distracting.

On to the bra itself.  The color is stunning, a very soft and lovely dark lavender.  The lace detailing is gorgeous.  And the placement of the bows halfway up the straps is very unique!  Ewa has done a good job here creating a stunner of a bra.

I love the typical CHP half cup shape – uplifted and round, with narrow wires and projected cups that follow my root perfectly.  Again, this is one size down from my normal UK cup volume of 28G/30FF, and in this style I find it works because of how open the cups are.  This profile shot is showing my left side, which is the larger of my breasts, and there’s no quadboobing or bubbling I can find.  The cup material is very soft against my skin – another plus for my picky nature!

The only downside to this bra is the band.  It is a true to size 30 band, stretching to 31.”  For my 27.5″ underbust, this is a little large.  However, the band has 4 columns of fasteners which I really appreciate because it extends the life of the band.  I am closing it on the second-to-tightest hooks, so I do have some wear left in the band, assuming it doesn’t stretch too quickly.  If it does stretch too loose over time, I’m willing to alter it tighter because this bra is just so danged pretty!!

I think it’s safe to say I’m happy with this addition to my bra wardrobe 🙂 I have one more Ewa Michalak half cup bra to review, so stay tuned loyal readers!

  1. Wow, this bra is indeed a beauty! I wanted to have a purple bra in my collection, and between this and the Rhea from Masquerade, I’m betting EM is better suited for my narrow and projected shape…

It looks AMAZING on you, lucky you grab it second-hand! <3
